Surveying draws those people. Retracing boundaries is detective work for specialists. They gather the clues from old documentation, detect lies (blunders on old plats and legals), look for fingerprints (occupation, centerlines), find the treasure (monuments), and identify culprits (surveyors who staked deed off one pin). We hope it isn't a murder mystery, though.
