Okay, I'm looking for a utility that will allow me to look up other surveyors numbers. Working on a project today, and we found some caps. I didn't recognize the number so I called our board. The numbers on the caps are 500 past the last number issued in the State of Texas. Needless to say, I'm concerned.

Is there a utility that would allow me to search multiple states at once, or are other states even referenced by license number.

TIA,

Robert

As I mentioned, I already called the board. This number hasn't been issued by Texas yet, and won't be for another 500 registrants.

Sounds like someone pulled the wrong caps out of the truck.

I don't know of a utility that would allow searching multiple states for licensee information.

Maybe it's the business number, not the personal license number...

> TIA,

Kris,

Make sure you check mark "Land Surveyor" only and in the "License/Certificate Number" area you can use a star "*" as a "wildcard". Example, if you put in " 250* " you will get 9 results, with me being third down. Now if you want a wider range, replace the numbers with stars like "25**" which will reveal 72 results. You can use the back arrow/page part of your browser too.

That looks like Florida. Ask Andy Johnson to look it up.

Hatch Mott MacDonald is a very large LLC that is all over the nation as well as in other countries. The 3K +/- fine that Florida imposed on them is less than peanuts.

They have two offices in my area, one in Encino and the other near LAX.

So the conclusion is that they are legit and just pulled the wrong caps out of the truck? If you notify them, they would probably send somebody back to swap caps? Or would they have actually referred to the number on documents?

HATCH MOTT MACDONALD in Texas

Way back when? That number was issued in 1993...just in front of mine - 7010. A couple of us in my study group were wondering who would end up with that number.
