Wendell and I went to the coast this last Sunday. Wendell needed to pull over to view his map. Well of all the places he picked, it was this beautiful viewpoint right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. So...while I waited I pulled out my camera and started snapping photos. Here's what I spotted first...BEFORE Wendell!! Usually he spots these WAY before I do. (I swear it's in all of your guys blood!)

And just beyond the marker was this....

Can any of you guess WHERE this is on the Oregon Coast?? 😉

*Hint* It is between Depoe Bay and Devils Punch Bowl.

I don't know how many times I pulled off the road and parked, got out and searched for a monument all over only to find it right next to the truck :-).

I'm serious, it is common (can't be where I parked).

Well, I had a photo of the monument but when I pulled it up here to take a peek at it, the pigeons had done their "thing" ALL over it and it was unreadable!! GRRR!!!! :-@

The spot we were at though was named after some ODOT guy. Rodea?? I will have to look it up and get back to you on this.

What a scenic place to pull over and "view your map". When he got back in did he say that he had also "talked to a man about a dog?"

I would love to say that was the case but since Wendell's aunt and cousin were with us, it wasn't. But he made up for it later. 😉
