Amazingly enough...I spotted this before Wendell did.
Anyone care to guess where I found it at? 🙂
Well, I'd guess Lane County, but that would be too obvious. How about Marion County?

No, your right. Lane County. I found it by a covered bridge that was closed for repairs. Strange...
Angel it says on the sign Lane County!

Bridge... (Pic)
Here's the bridge it was close by. The Dorena covered bridge. We drove 9 miles to find out it was CLOSED for restoration! But that's ok...it was a pretty drive regardless. 🙂

I'm sure that half of all the Beer Leggers are biting their tongues to keep from posting all the embarrassing or unsavory places that they could think up of where you might have been when you saw that sign. Might have been some real interesting guesses if one of the guys had posted such a question. But for now, I would guess near a survey marker... PS. Real pretty pictures

Angel... See, that's how you are testing the real meddle of some here... you have posted a pic of a "Survey Marker Sign"... not an actual Survey Marker. 😉

"Anyone care to guess where I found it at?"
There is no need for the last word in your sentence.

When his grammar was being corrected similarly, Churchill reportedly said
"This is the kind of tedious nonsense up with which I will not put!" 😉

I thought the grammar police were going to arrest the sign ... isn't "Near by" one word?
Angel, that ain't no covered bridge...
here's a covered bridge:

Where is that at Perry. That is very cool.
Perry
Great picture. Certainly you didn't try to canoe over that weir did you? Looks like a good place to stop and have lunch.

That's the Ammonoosuc River that runs from Mount Washington Southwesterly and into the Connecticut River. The covered Bridge is in Bath NH which is about 10 minutes away from my house. It's a nice 4 hour paddle from Lisbon NH to the Connecticut River with one portage around the Bath Dam shown in the pic. Lots of nice Class 1 and 2 rapids.
Here's the lunch spot with a private beach...

Thanks Perry. Looks like a very neat place to canoe and lunch.

Wow Perry!! Now that's a covered bridge!! It's HUGE!!! It's beautiful!!! Is it still usable???
You guys!!!

You guys enjoy razzing me, huh... 😛
See, even the sign maker made a mistake!! I just took the pic!! 😛
I would have liked to find where the actual Survey marker was that the sign was talking about but I also was not ready to go for a swim in the raging river. (The sign was REALLY close to where the hill goes straight down into the river.)
This is what was right below the area where the sign was posted.
Angel, that ain't no covered bridge...
Yes, still usable w/ 6 ton limit. I drove over it just yesterday. it's 374 feet long.
Panoramic Pic of Dorena Lake
Here's the Dorena Lake panoramic photo that Wendell took. He did a pretty good job!!

HC, Now you spent eleven words telling her she had one redundant word.....
Also, if you were replying to Carl, why didn't you ask about the use of the word "meddle"? I am thinking he meant "mettle"......
On second thought, maybe "meddle" was actually more appropos 😉
