Showing my son the solar compass on display at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center near Baker City, Oregon.
I have to admit he did like the stuffed sheep and oxen better than the solar compass.

Oh Oh...now I know where our next "adventure" will be...Baker City!! It's what...4-6 hours from Portland??
Wendell loves to visit places with surveying memorabilia, etc... people looked at him funny when we were at a Maryland rest stop and there was a giant survey mural on the wall and he was going picture taking happy. 🙂
