Sometimes you are better than yourself. Yes, the four orange caps are the same surveyor.

Wait just a cotton pickin minute...ƒ??ƒ??ƒ??ƒ??.these guys couldn't even agree with there own work to the point that they had to set multiple irons with their own caps??ÿ

Reminds me of one of those old Looney Tunes cartoons where some little cartoon critter cat is all despondent and ashamed of his inept daddy cat (Sylvester) because he can't catch a mouse.

Oh the shame of it.

With such outstanding service to the public cadastre, it's a mystery why our profession isn't more respected. ??ÿ

Surely a case of the LS never being onsite and merely sending out untrained laborers to set bars where the software says they should go. ?ÿProfits, profits, profits.

I am trying to avoid this very thing...

We're doing a couple of boundary and topo surveys here in Austin. I've requested the field crew to revisit the site to search for some additional corners. When I tell the PM this, he says, "is the (RPLS) requesting all these corners?". I say, "No...I am. We can't say it's not there if we haven't looked." That shut him up pretty quick.

I'm not registered but I'm trying to do the best I can.

"Should of put yours in the middle and split the difference!"?ÿ?ÿI feel like the others and a field hand returned to the site and set those pins and ignored the others.?ÿ ?ÿHappened to us with one of our ex-employees.?ÿ ?ÿHad to fix his laziness.?ÿ ?ÿ Probably our fault for not being specific enough in our training (which you think would of stuck after the first time and didn't have to be repeated everyday you sent them out).

Same surveyor. I guess he adjusted his elevations.

It's a very elegant pincushion though when you consider the amount of time it took to carve out the side of the first cap so cleanly to allow the 2nd bar to fit flush against the first.?ÿ More of a carpenter's skill though...

Vern,

What was this surveyor's response when you contacted him?
