Sokkia iX Robot trouble

I had multiple issues with the sokkia ix before it got permanently shelved, but I don't recall that one. Have you done any firmware updates to the robot itself? We did several on ours while trying to get it to function properly with fieldgenius. There were firmware updates to fix other issues like the erratic jog speed when turning it manually.?ÿ

Anyone else encounter an issue with the settings inside the Sokkia iX resetting themselves? ?ÿSpecifically Iƒ??ve had issues with the tracking settings resetting to 0.1ƒ?? even after setting it to 0.005ƒ?? multiple times.

I doubt I got the latest FW update on ours as we stopped using it when it came back from the last warranty repair. I switched to an old Leica robot instead almost 2 years ago and now we're all switching to Trimble, so nobody has touched the sokkia in a long time.?ÿ

@350rocketmike I went from one company using a Leica MS50 multi station to another using the Sokkia iX. ?ÿLike going from a Ferrari to a Toyota ????ƒ?ƒ??‹?

The other issue is that I cannot get the Sokkia iX to maintain its collimation. ?ÿEspecially with the vertical angles. ?ÿIƒ??ve tried collimating multiple times but the instrument still has about 50 seconds of error on the flop.

I found mine would go out of calibration within a few months but it wasn't 50" out. Must be something wrong with your machine. The Leica would stay calibrated what seemed like indefinitely.?ÿ
