My apologies if this has already been discussed.?ÿ Has anyone found a solution to processing Sokkia GSR2700ISX observation files through OPUS after the April 6, rollover??ÿ
I am converting the PDC files to Rinex using NovAtel2.4.0.?ÿ The 4-hour static sessions when submitted to OPUS says there is not enough data to process, then says it is switching to RapidStatic, but then aborts with a message stating the data is less than 7.2 minutes.?ÿ The file size indicates otherwise.
Thanks!
J.

Jerry,
Shoot me both the .pdc and RINEX if you wish, and I'll take a look at them.
I might see something, or might not!

Thanks. Sent you two files via email. Let me know if they didn't arrive.
Sounds like a problem years ago when the message was the file ends before it begins. Perchance did you observe over UTC midnight? May be a gap in the early data, that is easiest to clear up by deleting early observations. Do you not open your RINEX files and take an actual?ÿ look at your data?

Both observations were during regular hours. I looked at the files hoping to see a 1999 date or something, but they are 2019, so am not sure what is happening or where the issue is located. The problem started on April 8, after the weekend rollover. I have tried using multiple receivers and get the same problem.
I received a message from Artie Kay a few weeks ago, "Hi Don, How are your Sokkia gsr2700isx receivers doing after the GPS rollover??ÿ I have a pair and they are ok- aprt from the base station logging the nav or n file as 1999.?ÿ I'd posted this in the rollover thread and received a reply from someone at Novatel, as you'll know they made the board in the receiver. So although Sokkia support has ended officially it sounds like Novatel are still willing to problem solve for us users.?ÿ I'm just ignoring the n file out of the base nad downloading it frim the IGS site.?ÿ RTK will work with an established base seems to work as normal."

I am not sure if that's any help Jerry, but I haven't use mine in a while.?ÿ Since I have the Javad for RTK Work I only use the Sokkia's for static collection.?ÿ I'll be paying attention to this thread!

Don

Reminds me of a problem I had years ago that I solved by running through an extra "Wash and Rinse" cycle, which I just did for one of my Ashtech files last week that OPUS just did not like. I had downloaded from a receiver into Solutions and then created a RINEX file, OPUS aborted it. I renamed the RINEX file then imported the "O" and "N" files into Solutions to create a new Ashtech file. Took that file and converted it to RINEX and OPUS accepted it, it was just one of those "Hold my beer and watch this" moments.
Now that I think about it, I recall years ago some files would get OPUS Aborts because OPUS reads things like "end of line" characters that you cannot see in a text file but they are there. That was especially a problem when editing RINEX in a text editor.

JP, I wonder if Novatel 2.4.0 might be the problem? I use Sokkia Planning v4.2.1 for converting pdc to rinex n and o files and I've tested a couple of the output o files by sending to Opus and they are accepted. Sokkia Planning is still available to from a few software download sites.
This is the thread Don referred to, where you'll find the Novatel contact.
