I'm working near lake Alva T18N R16W PM,M. between Sections 13 and 24. The Interior lines were run in 1901-1902. The notes show no crossing calcs for lake alva- He ran N89-54E on a true line and set n MC on the West bank. then Ran S89-54W on a true line and set an MC on the East bank. no crossing in the notes, or measurement returned on the plat. When He was farther north at rainy lake- he showed a crossing calc in the notes but doesn't show anything on the plat.
?ÿWas there a max distance they could triangulate per the instructions, or what was the requirement for the period?
Here's the Plat.
Here's the notes for Alva
Rainy-
Measured line from NE cor of 24 to the MC is N86^21'42"W 2033.96 - Convergence ?ÿangle is -2^58'55"- both are supposed to be perpetuations of found stones.
?ÿchange in vertical is 202 ft
Don't mean to veer off topic, but did the Montana BLM get a new scanner? I got a set of notes sent to me this week and they were easy to read, very clear, and those notes look good also. Quite a welcome change.
No Idea-I'm just getting the notes by emailing SO_Information, BLM_MT <[email protected]
I think they just collect the previously scanned stuff and send it.
I didn't think they were re-scanning.
