Came in to run some OPUS solutions I did awhile back-?ÿother project milestones have been completed so the control will be due in the next 2-3 weeks. On Friday, I figured I'd just use RTX instead if/When the NGS sites went dark. Then I reconsidered, remembering that RTX is not officially a part of our approved control protocols.?ÿ I'm just going to run the OPUS now and be done with it. I could probably do the RTX and ask for forgiveness and an ALIBI, but I'm getting older and tireder?ÿ (pound sand spelling/grammar NAZIS) and that battle isn't worth the effort.....?ÿ I guess I've assimilated....
Not tonight but I'll be working tomorrow and the rest of this week.?ÿ Hopefully after this week I'll be able to take off till March or April.?ÿ It's tough to survey in the cold and snow and I need my time for taxes, filing papers and the rest of that office stuff (my office is a mess).
Yup still at it! Working tomorrow and X-Mas day as well.
No rest for the wicked, and the righteous don't need any.
Loyal
Just got done with a map and legal description.?ÿ Checking in for my beerleg fix.
Licensed Land Surveyor
Finger Lakes Region, Upstate New York
Finished a survey and staking point on line with my son today.?ÿ Hopefully off for a couple a days.
Little bit of light CAD and some accounting to finish off my day.
1st time in several years that all the boys will come by for the holidays and SWMBO and I have projects till past the end of year.
I have 8 family members visiting tonight while I am busy to submit drawing and property description for a VA survey tomorrow.
Rest of the week I have static to do on as many places as I can get done.
Somehow all at once I have 200 ac, 170 ac, 140 ac and 18 ac that are within driving to from home office on my ATV.
cheers and happy holidays ????ÿ
I have submitted 10+ OPUS submissions this morning (Monday 24th) and all have immediately returned great answers.
So NGS must not have had time to flip the switch on the way out of the office on Friday.
@RADAR?ÿ?ÿ?ÿ Edison never worked for a DOT....
I'd say if you chuckle heads are working today and tomorrow for that matter you are foolish fools and should be ashamed of yourselves. Turn off the lights and computer and go forth and sin no more.
Charge more & work less.
I'm not working today or tomorrow, and probably not the next day, either.?ÿ The fact is that I don't have a single project right now that isn't waiting on someone else to provide information before I can continue.?ÿ So I'll mostly be goofing off this week, maybe chipping away at tax prep and fine-tuning some workflow details that I've been meaning to get to all year.?ÿ But mostly goofing off.
Off Monday, working Wednesday-Friday, off all next week. ?ÿIf at all possible, most years I try and take off December 24 to January 6. ?ÿ
The Twelve Days of Christmas were a general holiday, and when people went back to work in January, usually on the first Monday after Twelfth Night, there were customs to mark the beginning of a new year??s work. ??Plough Monday? was the occasion for more feasting, and also for blessing the plough, which was so essential to agricultural life. The idea was to start the year by asking for God??s blessing on the tools of ordinary everyday work.
Made a couple vital calls today. ?ÿWill probably be drafting sometime before turning in tonight plus a few hours tomorrow. ?ÿGearing up to hit the ground running on Wednesday while I have some extra help available.
?ÿ
Our clan meetin' was yesterday. ?ÿWrapped up my Santa chores this afternoon and have put the suit away until next year. May donate a little extra feed to the livestock tomorrow and tell them a story about a stable in a far off land a long, long time ago.

What's being described is an English Christmas.?ÿ That's not the custom in America.?ÿ We have Santa Claus they have Father Christmas.?ÿ My English wife keeps the tree up till January 6th...much to my chagrin.
