The survey specifications from a lender, just received: They want me to use the 1997 ALTA standards and prefer an Urban survey.
I put on my Dale Carnegie helpful hat and provided a detailed explanation of what I could and could not do, starting with the 2016 standards. But my goodness, 1997? Really? I gave my client a reasonable fee after adding in ten hours for the aggravation of dealing with clueless paralegals, because I can see it coming.
By lowering their standards back to 1997, it is those pre1987 prices they are searching for............

Offer them an upgrade to Omega Level ALTA surveys for the low, low price of only $999 more than your quoted price to give them something that is worthless.

Dealing with the Paralegals is always a huge waste of time and a drain on patience.
