After years of using Topcon data collector software I now have a Trimble S6 with survey controller on TSC2. What is the best way to get my code file into the TSC2?
With the Topcon I was able to export my .fcl file from Carlson and import straight into the Topcon controller. Would anybody know the best method to get field codes from Carlson or Topcon on to a Trimble controller? Thanks in advance.
There might be a way to convert it easily, but I never figured it out.?ÿ I had to use Trimble's Feature Code Manager.?ÿ You can get it from a Trimble Business Center demo.?ÿ I used my Carlson codes as a reference and just recreated each code, one by one.?ÿ Hopefully you don't use as many codes as DOT.
Thanks Murphy it seems I will have to do this also. I can't seem to figure out strings in survey controller though. Does it allow for string numbers?
What software are you using on the Topcon Controller?
I am using Topsurv 8 on an FC2500.
Have you gone into Topsurv and selected Export/ File/ Code Library??ÿ This gives you the option as saving as either an FCL, a DBF, or even a TXT file.?ÿ Not familiar with the Trimble Side, but the TXT file should be universal to export / import.
