So I'm on a conference call with a guy this morning and trying to break down who is going to cover each part of the scope on proposal for a big infrastructure project. When the subject of the automated monitoring of some rail lines comes up I mention that if it was in my scope that I'd probably bring in my Leica guys to work with me on getting that set up.

Geez, I hope they all aren't sitting in the office waiting for a job.
Contractors have more field surveyors than the Survey Firms in this area. One reason that good field help is hard to find. Or business is changing rapidly.
They are probably leased, not purchased. Still a hefty pay day but much more palatable.
