just got this email and wanted to share, since we all do our part of complaining, it's only right to give out some kudos to those rare great clients. This was a survey that I gave a tiered proposal on, knowing it would need state permitting if they wanted to add on or build a pool. They opted for the smaller scope to start with, since they weren't sure what they wanted to do at the time. I offered to hold to my original total fee, even though it would mean another trip to the field . I've done a lot of work for this client over the last few years. It's a good feeling to have people like this to work for.

Having a nice rainy Tuesday!

Dear Andy,

That sounds wonderful to me. I am also aware that the $ may be less than you would normally charge since there is more field work involved. Could we agree on adjusting the fee upward another $? I am happy to pay $$. It gives me peace knowing it will be completed in time. Please move forward as quickly as you are able and I will let Mike know how happy I am with your follow through.

Thanks for working with K... as well. I look forward to meeting you in person sometime when I am on the island. I plan to invest on Captiva for a long time and it is nice to feel like I have a relationship with you, as my surveyor.
