Hi All,

As many of you will know the Leica TPS1100 has a laser optical plummet but also the option of a red laser beam for sighting.

This may simply come down to lighting conditions but I struggle to see the beam over distances greater than a couple of meters.

You can alter the intensity of the laser plummet, can you do the same for the laser beam when sighting to objects?

regards

Matt

No unfortunately, it's either on or off for the red laser pointer. I find it's really only useful indoors or in low light. Outside in the sun and you'll have to use the scope.

I have a sighting beam on my Sokkia 330R.

While it can be used to spot what you are looking at, it is best used by the rodman to find line and follow line when looking back at the instrument.
