All the evaluation you do to convince yourself is close to useless if you don't communicate your reasoning. A monument doesn't become a corner on a surveyors say so. It becomes a corner when the reasoning the surveyor used is accepted by the world.?ÿ
A key point in convincing the world that an uncalled for monument is the corner is that a thorough search did not find the original.?ÿ
If someone after you finds the original, there may be an argument for holding your corner, but you didn't make that argument, and your survey was not complete.?ÿ
