If you are retired, do you maintain E&O insurance?

If you are not retired, do you plan to maintain E&O insurance after retirement?

Insurance ought to cover work done during the policy period, but I think I recall reading that instead it covers lawsuits filed during the policy period. A ripoff by the ins co.

With our 6 year statute of limitations I will not need it.

My policy states that it covers work done while the policy is in place.

We switched policies a few years back and something came up afterwards and we had to go back to the insurance company who's policy was current during the time the work was performed.

So I would ASSUME after retirement the policy in place during the time of the work would still cover. But I would check with your policy provider

Your assumption is correct - except that you have to pay all the premiums between then and now...
