Holy moly! I don't think I've ever seen that many in one location...

Set a big piece of pvc over the whole mess, fill with concrete and order one of those 8" caps from Berntsen to cover it all up. I have seen private parties set "guard stakes" that are just chunks of rebar, but that is just disgusting!

There are some corners that would be better getting off removed due to utility work! 😉

As a rule, when I come upon one of those, I take care of it. I go ahead and set another one just to add to the confusion.

I guess no one found the others? How big is the parcel defined by this "Monument"?

About 10 to 15 acres, backing into a swamp.

I found one today. A 5/8" rebar capped with the surveyor's number legible lying 0.18' from a capped 1/2" rebar (not legible) that is the same as other rebars found on ajacant lots.

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks like the irons were covered with yellow plastic caps.
That’s like signing your name with disappearing ink. Maybe I should start using them-they are cheaper and after a few years no one will know …..

Um, that would be yellow crayon so that they would show up better in the photo.
The offending crayon can also be seen in the photo.
