There's a bit of a movie connection with the area, but not Duel in the Sun, although I did like that movie.

Yes, the fires are making it smoky, it wasn't bad that day, but we are all tired of it. Hoping for cooler wetter weather soon.

I've never heard of a movie being filmed here. Not that I'm any kind of expert, this isn't a famous place or attraction, just a rock outcrop on a ranch.

Think that looks like maybe the Arizona desert, and not the loose red sandstone of the ridge in my picture. I figure that country never saw waist deep ripe buffalo grass so thick you can't even come close to seeing the ground.
