I was questioning my crew chief about a corner. The legal description stated that the 1/16 was set for a legal by surveyor #1, but his location of the corner had surveyor #2's number on the monument. It doesn't fit by a few feet which makes a difference to where the legal lays out on the ground, even though it was written in 79 it was never monumented.
So I'm quizzing him about if he mislabeled it and he pulls up his picture of it and points at the screen, crew chief had it correctly labeled. Now leave me alone so I can get to the field-as I slink away.
Sounds like a good chief.....either that or you give him a hard time too much so he's trying to back everything up with photos!
Everybody has a camera in their pocket these days. It is amazing how few think to do what your PC did.
No, he's good;-)
We have files of almost every "important" monument, he is very good organizing them, I should have looked when I began to wonder, he has them organized by job number and point number.
On the one hand it sounds like he is a good hand. On the other, if he had the attitude you relayed in your post I would can him. I don't bet my licenses with people who won't answer a question that impacts what our TEAM is trying to do...

Nah, I figure I'll keep himB-)
If I fired every surveyor with an attitude, I'm not sure I would have anyone left working for me.....especially after I fire myself. :-/
