Here's a short video from Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) about surveying. I think many of us have seen this one before but I rediscovered it via a Twitter posting by @RyanHunsicker.

For those of you in the Pacific Northwest, you may recognize Tim Kent in the video. 🙂

Does that mean that there has been a second statewide survey? To me, that wording is unfortunate. It implies that the work is merely historical in nature when in fact it is necessary maintenance to a very contemporary system of land tenure.

The video is very interesting, nonetheless.

Nice video. At 3:15, it looks like there are a couple extra punchmarks in the initial point disk. Some one may have thought it was 0.04' off.
