When I see numbers like these I have to wonder what the heck is going on with OPUS.

OPUS-S is getting swamped by a few big users, who are uploading multiple instances of the same file. Those get rejected with a ??please be patient?? message, but OPUS counts them as failures. It was 99% successful yesterday.
OPUS knows a few tricks to keep big users from hogging use from others.
OPUS-RS fails when people upload too soon. There may be a few users out there that have no idea how to get or check for a worthwhile OPUS-RS file.

This thread inspired the OPUS team to look more deeply, and we found a tricky intermittent connection error that randomly killed OPUS-RS solutions.
The trouble began "a couple of days ago" during server maintenance.
