I am trying to research an old road in a mining district in Colorado. It actually is shown on the 1882 GLO plat and the 1898 USGS topography map. I am out of ideas for additional sources of information on this road and I am looking for suggestions.
I am also looking for any information on a surveyor who patented some claims as well as was a mineral surveyor in the same area. I have found his name on several claims and in some of the old Mining Record reports available on Google.
Any suggestions for additional sources? Thanks!

If it's located in a Forest you might check with the Forest Service Surveyor.
