Looks all too familiar. Actually that one looks pretty good - at least as far as legibility goes.

Thats is what I thought when looking at it, be nice if all were written by that scribbler. Remember the ink wells, pen tips and blotters we used in the first and second grades, line after line of ovals, In the third grade we went modern, some of us had trouble with that and the ink wells went dry.

What confused me was the scribble in between the lines, and the fact it was duplicated. I struggled to make sure we weren't looking at two pieces of land!
This scrivener did pretty well. There is an era in Barnstable that is truly difficult.

I surveyed a parcel a few years ago that had a similar deed. Except that where yours says "half acre more or less", this one said "being either 1000 or 1200 acres". How's that for narrowing it down? I was actually surveying the remainder of this tract. The less and excepts helped a great deal.
