Well the project is over and a bunch of townships are surveyed and laid out and my body feels every section of those townships. Heading back to Oregon tomorrow for rest and repair. Here's a few photos...will post "the movie" in a few days if anybody is interested..
Once again, great stuff.
Are you going to be around for the solar activity, as discussed below?
Daryl,
amazing landscapes,
& a very nice picture of Chuck and Billy on the hillside,
thanks for sharing

Have a safe trip home!

We got done with the GPS work before the CME hit the planet. Much to overcast and foggy to see anything...still alot of light here as well.
Thanks for that...I'd like to get into surveyor recruitment someday when I get too broken to run around the mountains...

A friend of mine told me, If you are going to carry a pistol, to protect yourself from bears, you should take off the front sight.
I asked him why.
He said, that way, when the bear takes it away from you and shoves it up your.....:-O it won't hurt as much! 😉
Thanks again for sharing, Daryl, have a safe trip home...

LOL Radar. Personally I would prefer an AK-47 and a dozen or so grenades.:-/
Radar's right!
surveying around bears can be stressful..their like ghosts...apparitions...they seemingly just appear....with no noise
Perfect way to get a close look at bear paws...when they're moving away from you.
Fantastic shots. Looking forward to "Nyac, The Movie".
As always, most excellent pictures Daryl!!
Thank you for the escapism!!
Carl
aurora borealis
I think Cowboy was referring to the Northern Lights and if you might be able to take some cool pics for us to drool over.:-D
Thanks again,
Dugger
Wow and double wow!!
But I wonder, if those corners are set within 0.18 ft. of where they are supposed to be?
Keith;-)
Thank you
Derek
aurora borealis
yeah Dugger..its too much light here...I don't think I have ever shot the Borealis...would be a good challenge...
I am going on about 15 bear encounters this summer, and I got an office job. Had another one at 4:15 this morning walking the dog... Staying pretty dark now and it was overcast and raining. Walked right up on this little blackie with a 14lb Lahsa Apsha attached to my hand. Exchanged words, and he left, before I had to kick his tail with my extra tuffs.
edited for spelling
Nice pics thanks
The "Chuck and Billy" silhouette is really nice.
Keep trying on the spelling. You're getting fairly close.
