Normally, I can figure this stuff out; however, on this one, it appears that I'm out of luck.

So, my crew uses a Nomad. It's the newest in the fleet. When we got it, you would tap a field, and a keyboard would come up, you would type, you would hit enter, and it would go away. Now, for whatever reason, it stays up all the time and you have to tap the keyboard icon to make it go away. It's quite irritating.

Has anyone had an issue like this with theirs, and if so, how did you fix it (if you were able to)?

Solutions I've tried. Soft boot, cold boot, take battery the hell out of it for an evening boot, et cetera.

I'm betting that there is a setting in either Windows or your DC software that toggles the keyboard behavior. Sort of like the setting on a desktop that allows you to auto hide the taskbar or leave it visible all the time.

Hi,

not sure for the Nomad,
but on a WinMobile5 device you should navigate to the SETTINGS and look for an INPUT icon. On our TSC2 we have 4 options and some additional settings in the tab fields at the bottom of the screen.
