hi,
I have to work to 1-2 mm tolerance many times as par for the course in my construction survey work, i use gymbles for backsites with pink 1mm string line on the bobs.

the internal machinery is to 1mm and less tolerance, these buildings are up to 550 metres long and 7 storeys high, i have done 5 of them so far. field books are used all the time because i have to do many fast asbuilts etc., so it is easier to sketch and write the numbers on the drawing, photo copy the page and englarge, after checking, then give to the particular trade involved. later i will draw more officially for the important stuff to be filed.

in china you cannot buy chinese exported goods locally, some of my bobs are from taiwan and others, the older ones from england.

cheers
david

I like it!
The only reason anything becomes "old school" is because it works!!
