Do it yourself kit for the happy homeowner. I don't think these were worthy of a patent since I didn't come across a patent to include them in my book. 12" long.

buy them, add a rifle scope to the package to add in "keeping on line" and put it back online for double!

When I was 12 years old my dad mounted a 4x rifle scope to a camera tripod and I got to run the instrument to keep him on line while staking a fence.

The box certainly has that 1960's look. The wording indicates the "MYLINE" name was a registered trademark. I did find one with that name from the 1990's. Perhaps someone knows this person. If you want to read about various property issues, just Google the words "My Line property marker".

Wow!! Thanks for posting this.

Brings back memories and chuckles from 30+ years ago.

I party-chiefed for an outfit out of High Point, NC from July '77 to June '82. There is a subdivision in Forsyth County (Canterbury Forest, if memory serves) that had these MYLINE stakes on many of the lots. These markers were not on the property corners but many were close to the corners and I'm sure meant to be the property corners by those who set them. The original surveyor and the following retracing surveyors apparently did not set them. But the residents seemed to think that these markers were the lot corners.

I have occasionally seen the MYLINE marker on a random lot or two over the years but have never seen it used as much as in that Forsyth County subdivision.

Unfortunately, I fear that some if not most of those MYLINE markers have since become THE lot corners in that subdivision.
