Modest Monuments: The District of Columbia Boundary Stones

Many many moons ago, the old POB magazine had a good article about restoration by area Surveyors.

It may be available through their archives but this was way before digital and internet presence.

I have visited a couple of those in Alexandria. That part of the D.C. boundary is now defunct since the portion in Northern Virginia was reconveyed back to VA in the 1840s.

I posted this website a couple of years ago, but it also has a lot of info about that boundary.
