Nice turn of phrase for this exhibit using 'surveyor' and her/his work in relation to art.

Through the complex and fantastical depths

From Derek's link:

>"Surveyor" explores the theme of humanity’s relationship with, and fervent desire to understand, the natural world in which we live. The works on view will represent man observing his environment, traditional and contemporary landscapes, topographical mapping, surveying and surveillance, and post-apocalyptic visions. Like the surveyor who seeks to comprehend the intricacies of land and topographical terrain, the viewer will embark on a journey through the complex and fantastical depths of our lived environment.

The write-up doesn't mention whether the drinking fountains in the museum will be turned off or whether all visitors will be issued a roll of day-glo plastic flagging with the understanding that it is to be tied in great quantities around any object that looks as if it needs it.

Derek,
I have Curved Space over my fireplace mantel...and the Hanging hanging in my office. I would like to point out that both paintings contain 'monuments'...lol
