What happened to the good old days when you just popped down the MH's and took your measurements? Sewer gas, who knew about that, OR they weren't sharing that information with us young guys. I don't how many hundreds of MH's I have squeezed into over the years. The good part was that during the winter the SMH's were warm so I always took a little longer when it was cold out.

Looks like more than a typical manhole, for typical manholes I like the idea of using a "hidden point" rod.
