I am looking for help. I recall reading in a survey text a quote about surveying integrity. Basically it said that since very few people understood what Surveyors did, that we were constrained to higher standard than other professions. I know the term “…in our isolation…” is somewhere in the quote. I was hoping someone would know the origins of this text. We are moving into our new office next week and I want to place this quote in the field room.
I don't know the quote, but I like the concept, and where this is headed.
Nate
Don't know the specific quote you are looking for, but I think of this one quite often.
"The bitter taste of poor quality lingers much longer than the sweet taste of a low price.”
Don't know the quote, but I put this up in the field room at the last place I ran the crews:
"Redundancy is ignorance in reverse"
I got it from someone on the old rpls.com (nearly normal I think)
Check the old site under TDD

> "Redundancy is ignorance in reverse"
"ecnarongi" is "ignorance" in reverse
And esrever is reverse in reverse...

"Water is NOT a necessity."
How about this one...
Integrity and wisdom
Integrity is to keep stupid promises.
Wisdom is not to make stupid promises.
