Is there a straightforward simple way to get these files to the CF card for transfer to the instrument?

Or do I have to jump through hoops? I.e. Leica Geo Office or Leica Instrument Tools software?

Where can I get these Coordinate System (CS) and Geoid files please? I think I saw the Geoid files available on Leica MyWorld but not CS files??

Thank you!

This link will take you to a webpage where you can find the grid number you need and then download the bin file. My Fieldgenius software uses the be**Binary file.

I know nothing about your coordinate system files.

Yes, I use that too with FieldGenius 11 (FG) also.

I will look more into it for the instrument itself... I think I have to use Leica MyWorld to download CS and Geoid files, then Leica Geo Office to convert and load them. Was hoping just a easy drag&drop like you mention for FG. I'll keep at it. Thank you.

The geoids need to be stored as GEM files. I've always used LGO or Captivate to create them by extracting my area of interest from the binary file. I think the instrument has most of the coordinate systems stored in the firmware. As I re-call you can re-import them from the coordinate system list. Once again, I use Captivate to create a file with just the systems I'm interested in.

Look through the technical manual for SmartWorks. It is big, but very useful.

I see there are not any Coordinate Systems stored on the instrument / firmware. Just shows as "NONE". (TCRA1205)

I'll keep looking at things and the manual for Smartworks you mention.
