This is one site where I get my updates.

FCC starting to back away from decision timeline. Things are starting to heat up.

LightSquared's Jeff Carlisle takes off the gloves and,

referring to the GPS manufacturers, says "such an industry is not a reliable partner of the federal government."

Guess this means no more Mr. NiceGuy?

That 11 August letter probably needs a very careful read before passing judgement on this facet of the issue.

Another great source of information on this LightSquared issue is Tim Farrar / TMF Associates blog. Follow the links in his blog posts for some great information.

LightSquared's Jeff Carlisle takes off the gloves and,

To much money backing this, it needs to be made public where it comes from, the true intent and who is greasing the palms of whom. Big money, political support bought and payed for equals a loss and stealing from the public. Enough is not known about LightSquared to be able to buy and control any public bandwidth. For all I know this is backed by foreign money whose sole reason is to put in place a system that can disrupt all communication in this country. We do not need any more large uncontrolled companies who think they have the right to dictate policy regardless of who they have bought. They have shown enough to justify disbanding them all in this country. Kind of like the wind people coming in here and demanding things they have no right to demand just so they can obtain more tax payer money from subsidies that will never allow for further development of wind power, that might cost them those very subsidies they need to even exist. Time to run the whole band through the sheep dip tanks.
