Hi, just traded up (questionable!)from an RX1250 to a CS15 to run my TPS1200 robotic.
Working behind some tall foliage my instrument lost the target and power searched, I thought it had found me again but back at base I found it had locked onto my reference target and so I had 5 shots all centred on the reference. With my old system I could set a warning if a shot was within a certain amount to the previous recorded shot. Is there any way similar setting on Viva software?
I believe what you are outlining is found in TPS Settings>Offsets & Quality Control and then navigate to the Target QC tab.
Also you can set your power search to ignore your bs/ref target.
?ÿ
SmartWorks, Viva & Captivate all have the same problem and remedy.?ÿ The ignore reference only works if the current HR is the same as the reference.?ÿ The warning is nice though since you at least get notified the second time you hit the reference.?ÿ As a note, Captivate may not have this problem with an instrument running Captivate, I'm using an MS50 which can not distinguish the reference point unless the HR is the same.
@mag-eye, where do you set that??ÿ Or are you talking about the quality control setting??ÿ
my mistake John i guess i was thinking of SurvCE. There is the user defined power search window in smartworx viva.
I haven't tried captivate but i thought captivate had a new "power search filter" to somehow ignore unwanted targets
I think the filter only works if the instrument is running Captivate. As for the power search window, that does work.
