I cannot answer that question, however, I would suggest checking out the Parani SD1000 radios. They are much lighter, have great battery life, and are bluetooth. No radio licensing issues.

I made the switch at the first of the year, with my Topcon robot, and now wonder why I carried around those heavy radios for 5 years.

fct4,

Yes... these will work. Depending on what language mode you are using... GSI or GeoCOM... you will just have to set the communication parameters for the Lemo port on the instrument to match the interface COM settings for the Satels. The instrument merely sends the messages out to the Lemo port... the COM device just receives the commands with the interface COM parameters and then uses the over-the-air COM settings to talk to the other radio. The only thing that would need to be address is that one radio needs to be a "base" and the radio at the pole needs to be a "remote" The "base" radio needs to be in control of the data flow and the "remote" needs to follow only after the "base" radio is expecting a return. I help someone with the Satels in this same setup about a year ago but I cannot remember the settings for the Satels as far as setting one as a "base" and one as a "remote"

SO they are all I will need to run one of these units robotic? As you can tell I have no experience with a robot.
