Hi all. I have a Leica TCRP 1201+ with CS 10 controller. My question is, if I can pair my CS 10 with RH17. In total station menu I have options to select RH17. Thanks for future answers.
If I recall, the CS10 may need to have the extended range Bluetooth cap.?ÿ At least that is the case with the CS15
I know that for CS15 can use CTR16 or 17, but I can't find any information about comm cap for CS10. Have any information about?
I stand corrected, it looks like the CS10 does not use the cap.?ÿ The CS10 may only be compatible with the RH12.?ÿ Playing with the simulator for the CS10 it looks like you just get to use the RH12.
In conclusion CS10 accept only radio?ÿ and short range Bluetooth connection with TPS. Thanks for answers!
Find a used windows 10 tablet like the Panasonic fz-m1 with long range Bluetooth. That will work perfectly with the rh17 and 1201+. That's what I use with the Leica 1203+ and rh17. Occasionally I have to setup a backsight for longer backsights like 150m+, depending on nearby obstacles. Other than that it's rock solid.?ÿ

What software run in Panasonic tablet to control the total station?
@ionm?ÿ
I guess that's important too...it can run Carlson survPC or microsurvey Field genius (which is what I'm using). It would run Leica captivate except Leica won't sell it without a tablet for a ton of money. What are you currently using??ÿ
@350rocketmike?ÿ
Now using Viva on CS10.
I am thinking to upgrade data collector for easy using of dxf/dwg drawings in setting out jobs. In my previous job I use leica ICon on Panasonic tablet. This software is very easy to use for setting out jobs.?ÿ
If you run anything other than Smartworks, Viva or Captivate you will need to have a Geocom license on the TPS.
Yeah you're right, forgot about that. The unit I'm using had it when purchased new. Guys ran it with smartworx and fieldgenius. Everyone hated smart worx. I checked it out before we sold the cs15 and it looked rough. To me it's very hard to go back to something that archaic after using a modern tablet, especially if you're laying out 50+ points in a few hours by yourself before moving on to the afternoon jobs.?ÿ
Maybe no big deal if you're just shooting a couple bars or traversing.?ÿ
@ionm?ÿ
I have no experience with that software but that's the same tablet I'm talking about if it's the 7" version.?ÿ
Extd Geo Com is referring to that license?
