Those guys will do anything to come in early on payday....

The crew just called with some candy-ass excuse that the road was a little rough due to all the rain. Said they couldn't make it back into the property. Then they sent me this pic:

What a bunch of cry-babies. WHERE IS TDD WHEN WE NEED HIM? I BET HE COULD DRIVE THAT TRUCK OVER THAT LITTLE RUT...WITHOUT EVEN ONE DRINK OF WATER!!

"Hike up your dress and walk across" is probably what I would've heard if I said that to the first guy I worked for...

I wasn't quite that brusque, but I came close. I merely asked the PC if he had attempted to access the property from the other direction. He replied he wasn't sure that was possible. I asked if he could see vehicles at the ranch house...he said yes...

About 15 minutes later he called me back with the most amazing news; he could drive into the property from the north. I had to ask how he figured that out. He replied the client's ranch hand saw his truck parked by the washout and drove down to give them directions...:pinch:

Buy 'em books and they wind up eatin' the pages....

all is good..

For a while my daughter had trouble with the concept of There is more than one way to get to a place.
Then she turned 5 and it clicked.

My guys would have jumped that in a heart beat then you would never hear the end of the complaining about having to fill out an accident report, until the gnashing of teeth started about the repairs on the truck. I work for uncle sugar and he is as we say emplpoyee insured. You wreck it, you get to pay for the repairs, up to one month's pay. Most likely they would have turned around and gone to lunch then returned to the office to say the road was washed out.

Well Unc,

If that didn't work he would simply have built a bridge across it. (in 6 minutes, without water) 😉

You can't deny that the tires in the rubble was a portent to cease going forward.
