I am running Carlson 2012 iCAD.

IS there is a way to label my contours without rebuilding the surface??? HELP?

The older versions have under "surface" a command called "contour labels".

ADDING TAG LABELS in CARLSON

How do I add tag labels, L1, L2, L3, C1, C2, C3 and so forth to lines in Carlson??? I have found how to draw the line table, but cannot figure out how to make it tag the lines.

Under the annotate menu...auto-annotate check always use line tables and then under the arc tab..always use arc tables

L1, L2 etc. yuck ! I sure hate to see those. Maybe your scale is too large ?
Nothing worse than picking up a sub plat with 50 or 60 of the Line or Curve labels and the first thing you have to do is write them down next to the corresponding lines/curves.

ADDING TAG LABELS in CARLSON

I once surveyed 5200 acres that took 7 D size sheets at a 400 scale. There were over 600 corners and about 3/4 of them were less than 400 feet apart. Sometimes you just can't avoid line tables.

:good:

good answer provided in 6 minutes. additional information also provided in timely manner. I have submitted a question on other boards that might get a response a day or even a week later. (sometimes good, sometimes not)

This place is phenomenal.

A men.

It is times like this that I try to remember to contribute an amount to the tip jar commisurate (sp? ~ using my iPhone sorry) with the value I place on the recently acquired technical support.
