Officers with the Lubbock Police Department have arrested 75-year-old Sonja Renfro and 70-year-old James Renfro for deadly conduct after a shooting in the 900 block of Avenue P on Monday.
Police reported they were called to the scene at around 2:30 p.m. Monday after neighbors reported an altercation between a couple, the Renfros, and their neighbor. Before police arrived both parties shot at each other and seriously injured?ÿ46-year-old Ray Delano.?ÿ
Delano was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and released the same day, according to an LPD news release. Police report the reason the couple and neighbor were fighting was because of a property line dispute
A survey was never the point. They've been wanting to shoot each other for years. The?ÿRenfro's were locked and loaded.?ÿDelano didn't have a chance. Guess he didn't think the old couple had it in them. This was Texas.
Looking at the GE view, I doubt that a survey would have solved the problem. It looks to me like the property line is apparent enough. I'll go out on a limb and bet that the problem was about the use of a dirt driveway on the one property by the occupant of the other.?ÿ ?ÿ
