Hi!

As the Fieldgenius now with Leica, I am (as a Leica user) contemplating on activating back my energy and start using again Fieldgenius in detail surveying as I love the offset and intersection routines it offers. For me, FG is second to none in that aspect.

There were issues that caused me shifted to SurvCE a few years back. One of them is the inability to perform F1/F2 observations during traversing. As we all know, F1/F2 and other redundant observations are very important in data reduction environment like in StarNet. FG support provided me workaround by way of observing points in F1 and F2 modes independently, overwriting the corresponding F1 associated point number. There was no way that you can set in FG environment that controls redundant observations except in Resection and Multi Set routines. The suggested workaround by the support team unfortunately not a smart way in my opinion of dealing the issue as it is only available to people who were informed by the support team. I don't know.

To FG users, how do you perform F1/F2 observations when traversing? How do you perform F1/F2 backsighting during setup?

Thank you for sharing.

Regards.
Arnel
