Our Hiper Sr seems to have an issue recognizing satellites...My field crew will be in an open field and only get 8 total satellites(4 us AND 4 glonass) and not fix. Any thoughts or suggestions? There has been issues recently with lack of a fix and just not "seeing" the satellites. We believe it is not a location issue...another field crew would be working a few miles away, similar terrain with no issues.
There was a date rollover issue a few months ago.?ÿ We were running Hiper II's and had a similar problem also.?ÿ I never really got a clear answer if it was the roll over problem or if our stuff was just getting old.?ÿ In my case rebooting everything usually got things going but the problem would reoccur. Our system was going on 10 years old so we got new anyway.?ÿ If new firmware is available from Topcon, that might fix the issue.
