I'll be sending my Nautiz X3 for service due to power failure. Due to this, I need a backup handheld data collector for the meantime the X3 is out for service. In addition, I am also thinking of using the X8 for my Leica GS14 due to its smaller size (thus greater flexibility in the field) and also for more processing speed in the field. My question is only the compatibility. Can I use SurvCE or Fieldgenius with the X8 to run the GS14?
Any experience guys?

To use a third party collector your Leica will need to have an OWI license and your third party software will need to have the GS14 driver. You can check the OWI using Leica MyWorld.
