Working on breaking down a section. Rod man is driving me to my next set up when I notice we are directly in front of a farm house and there is a duck and two geese wandering around very close to where he has set my turning point. He knows all about fowl subjects so I asked him if the geese had bothered him. He assured me they were actually quite a bit too friendly. He went on to explain that the duck was a drake and both geese were ganders and they were probably looking for some social interaction, if you catch my drift. He advised me to not bend over without first looking to see where the geese were relative to me. Yes, they were too friendly. I hope the attraction was my orange shirt that sort of matched their beaks and nothing more personal. They did insist on bumping their beaks against my kneecaps. Not sure what that means in goosespeak, but, I was hoping it meant they were wanting me to give them something to eat. Fortunately, they did not bump the tripod so I moved on as quickly as possible.
I thought this story was going to involve your third cousin twice removed.
I'm relieved actually.
Don
Oh, man, I forgot the smiley:-)
That was all in good fun, Cow.
I didn't have to tell you that, I know, but then I thought "Sheesh, Cow might think I'm an a-hole."
That wouldn't be far off the mark, of course, but sometimes I'm not.
Don
No problemo, Senor Donnie.
I read this and thought of the line in the movie The Great Outdoors when Ben said "You gave her a world class goose with a pool cue Buck".
😉
Me too

If you were wearing shorts like our friend Carl Cornell, they'd have been saying, " those are some BUTT UGLY kneecaps", however- I figure you were in your long pants, and they were just looking for a handout. 😛
I thought it was going to involve something about land surveying and not goose lust.
I don't know, I guess this is just a cheap thrill to share to others.
Speaking of geese....
There is a hidden pond in the wooded area behind the office.... this is a common sight in the rear yard at the office....

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you...
