Belgian privacy laws does not allow to publish images of people without authorization so Google had to blur all faces and number plates on cars.

A not so random chosen picture in Ghent

Yes,

we noticed the mobile mapping car back in june 2009 when we were out there, so I knew I had to check this out.
It took them a long time to get it all available now.

..Must Have Gotten Lost..

Hello Chris,

A beautiful sunny day in Belgium, just like I remember it...

It is a cool country Belgium. My father was from a little village called Merksplas. I visited once, enjoyed it. One thing I really like about their culture is their punctuality. My aunt prepared lunch at 12:00. You had to be there at 12:00. People do not like to waste their and other people's time in Belgium. That's what I remember most. It must be a nice country to live, if you are in the scheduling business.

..Must Have Gotten Lost..

Georges,

that's good to hear from someone else, a lot of us are indeed punctual and most families have fixed hours to come together for meals. Life's to short to waste time waiting ...

Many cultures around the world

Yes, a lot of different cultures around the globe, that's the beauty of it.

And like it or not, regardless at what lat & long where at, we are never too far from our upbringing.

As they say in Belgium:

It does not matter how many languages a man speaks, when he cuts himself while shaving, he always use his mother tongue (...)
