I shot four points that I wanted to download and process using OPUS RS.
Three out of four of the files were able to be downloaded, but the first file will not download and is giving me an error message that says "General error".
I am using a Sokkia GSR2300, which I have had for a couple of years and have never gotten this message before.
Normally I would just go and reobserve the point, but this one is out in the marsh and requires a boat ride to do it.
Any thoughts about this "General Error" message?

You might want to also post on the other site's Ashtech forum.

Remind me what Ashtech Z model the 2300 is?

What version of GNSS Solutions?

Is Solutions seeing the file in the receiver and trying to download?

Does the receiver have adequate power?

What version of GNSS? The current one on their website is 3.50.02.

The GSR2300 is a "Sokkia" Ashtech receiver isn't it? You might try converting the file to RINEX to clear to file of the warnings but it will probably still have problems.

I can't download the file to convert it to a RINEX file.

It's the Z-Surveyor, the one with no straight edges.

I think it is a Z-12, Z-Sensor or Z-Surveyor, describe the box.

I have downloaded my Z-12s to V 2.50.06 in the past, I recently installed V 3.50.02. For the project I am currently doing I had downloaded my receivers in Ashtech Solutions, then brought them over to GNSS Solutions when I decided I needed to work in Geoid09. I just redownloaded my Z-12s in the latest GNSS version just to check and not a hitch.

Since you say it is the first file you have trouble downloading I surmise you began collecting data a little too soon and GNSS Solutions is not liking what it sees at the begininning of the file. In downloading today I inadvertently grabbed the file that my Z-12 began after I closed out my data file. There is so little or no data in it that Solutions gave me the message "The file 'C:My ProjectsTest Z-12BZ12AB10.341' is not a raw data file - it could not be loaded." But the file was in my computer because I deleted it. Check in your projects folder to see if the file is there but Solutions does not recognize it as a receiver file. If it is there use RINEX converter run by itself to convert the file. Then open it, the RINEX "o" file, in "Wordpad" or some other text editor and delete the first few minutes of observations. Then import the new RINEX file into Solutions.

If you want to download the newest version of GNSS Solutions be aware it is 1/4 Gig in size. Before installing make sure your L2 license data is safely copied elsewhere. When I installed the newest version it safely worked around my existing license file but you cannot be sure how it acts for you. I have lost it on earlier upgrades.
