I am currently using a Topcon GR3 and an Carlson Supervisor with SurvPC and as of lately i have had trouble getting GPS lock when using GPS and Glonass but when i turn off the Glonass it gets lock right away. Is anyone else having this problem or know why this might be happening? Thanks for your time!

The answer I was given is that the Russian Sats don't have tracking stations in the US. They sometimes get out of orbit, with no way to determine how much, until they get back to their side of the earth. Occasionally, you just have to have patience... and turn them off!

Update the firmware in the receiver if you haven't already. Glonass makes changes to their system that often require firmware updates for precision receivers to properly function.
