I have to say I really like this receiver. I run a Leica TCRP 1203+ with a Carlson Surveyor+. I went with this option because at the time the CS20 and Captivate software were not yet available. I have not had a chance to run those, but I was not a big fan of Viva and the CS15. Since I am required to do a lot of on the fly calculations, cogo, etc. I went with Carlson for ease of use.

The Geomax receiver works seamlessly with this setup. I am running it as a network rover with a Leica Smartnet subscription and AT&T SIM card. I checked the solutions against several static GPS control points I had been using along with several published NGS marks. Using only very short observation times I checked into everything within 0.1' or less in both the horizontal and vertical. While this doesn't represent a full clinical test of the accuracy/precision of the unit, it does provide a certain confidence level at least on that project. Anyway I was a little scared to go this route due to the brand of the instrument not being "Leica" like the total station, but I actually feel it was the best choice for my setup. I was told the Leica receivers would not work with Carlson and the Surveyor+.
