Anyone using a Geo600 with Carlson SurvCE 3.0?

I've been a life long TDS user but I'm considering switching. Carlson lists the Geo600 as a supported instrument, but I recall hearing that it's "buggy". Maybe the past issues have been fixed.

I never had problems with the earlier versions of SurvCE when I was using a Geo600.

It is a little "buggy". For instance, the search feature (your arrow keys) is a little slower, spotty sometimes. The big thing is the level vial. You can not remotely check your vial to see if you have held level. You can only do this from the gun. All in all, it works fine. You may have to change your routine a little bit to settle in with it, but you will have full functionality.

That's good to know. I've also noticed on the newer versions of TDS the "search" and "pan" commands have about a 2-3 second delay, as well, so that's no big deal. I probably will go with Carlson if it comes back that my Ranger w/TDS is unrepairable.

Are you with Hayes?

Getting feedback from others is great. But the good news is you do not have to rely on that information alone. You can get a 30 day demo of the software and see for yourself. No cost and no obligation.

Go to this link

Carlson Demo Code

Input the information and get the code. Then download the software and see if it works for you.

I think you will be happy with the Carlson.

I am with Transit and Level Clinic. We are similar to Hayes, but we deal in Leica, Spectra and Carlson. We are a Factory trained Geodimeter/Trimble Repair Center.
