Has anyone been able to get on the Florida DOT's RTK network/website for the past week?
I have not tried to connect to the network in the field, so I don't know if that is working. What I really want to do is get online and download some CORS data for Static. The old site "MyFloridaGps.com" directs you to a new site, and when I log in, all I really see is my user profile and information about their services ... what I don't see is how to download RINEX data or the list of IPs/Ports to connect to ...
Any I'm missing something, or is this not available at this time?
They sent out an email a week or so ago and they overhauled thier servers and will be upgrading all the bases to that they will get glonass sats. You have to re-register with the site and fill out the forms listing your equipment with serial numbers before you can do anything.

I got an email last week telling me to create a new account, which I did (with serial numbers) but I did not a get an email explaining the overhaul. I take it then that this is a work in progress, because right now, with my new registration, I can not access any RINEX data online.
Do you use the network RTK feature? Is that still working?
When I try to connect (Leica ATX1230 GG) I get the following message:
NTRIP Caster does not recognize
your privileges
Check configured NTRIP User
ID and Password
When I registered I got a confirming email from FPRN showing my 'approved' Username and Password. I entered the Username and Password exactly as approved. I have rechecked my configuration settings several time, however I may have something not quite right.

I have been trying to do OPUS-RS sessions in Florida and I keep getting them aborted because I don't have any CORS sites within 250km. Apparently NGS no longer has data access to the FDOT CORS sites. Its been like this for over a week.
I wonder how eGPS users are doing. I believe that their network relies heavily on FDOTs network.

Got around to re-registering yesterday...still waiting for email. The expected FPRN delays aren't a problem for us as we're on the VRS.
Just got the following email:
Cary,
The FPRN system is not down, we are simply not communicating with the NGS at this moment.
We can supply you with the rinex files for the dates and times you need.
Hopefully we will have the communications reestablished this week.
Thanks,

IBenHavin,
You may need to delete your old NTRIP RTK Rover connection details in your data collector. Re-create from scratch. Be sure to do this outside, so your RTK Rover is tracking SV's and has a computed a current WGS84 position, then "connect" to the FLDOT Network. If your RTK Rover doesn't have a GNSS position computed, when it attempts the send the NTRIP RTK Rover's NMEA GGA position, the FDOT NTRIP RTK Proxy server may be refusing the connection, because it doesn't know where you are. I've seen this many times; the RTK Rover + data collector cannot be inside when you initially create the NTRIP connection details, your RTK Rover needs to have a valid computed position. NTRIP Casters/Servers can be a fickle mistress.

I heard at our local FSMS meeting that they are not going to be providing corrections. I don't use the service, so I may not have heard that exactly right.
I DON'T think this is temporary.
In my case there was another step I did not know to do. Perhaps users are expected to know to do it. However, I stumbled upon it completely by accident. Just because you receive a confirmation email, you still can not use the system. until...you log in at the FPRN http site, purchase a free specific service, place that service in your checkout basket, proceed to checkout, then agree to the terms. You then wait for another email letting you know your specific service is active. Well...duhhh
It would have been nice for the good folks at FPRN to realize some of us users will not know to complete that step unless we are instructed to do so. I could have saved a bit of hair.
Having cleared many more configuration hurdles by trial and error so far it seems to be working.
Also, anyone using the Leica ATX1230 GG split system, USER ID 1: is a request for you to enter the serial number of the RX1250 controller; and, USER ID 2: is a request for the serial number of the ATX1230 GG antenna. It has nothing to do with your user ID. At least that is how I finally got my system to work. The real User ID is on another page where you enter the actual User ID. Thanks Leica for making that so crystal clear and logical.
Thanks for the tip anyway ble.

So you got the real time corrections working in the field? Are the IPs/Ports the same as they were? There is virtually nothing on their new website to explain anything. It now looks like a generic website for purchasing RTN/RINEX services, with no information at all on how to get the data flowing or access the RINEX files.
I spoke with Ron Hanson who said they are in the process of moving the old myfloridagps website functions to DOT servers ... And said it *probably* will be online Monday, and he said he does't expect there to be a RINEX data gap for the DOT stations I asked about. All good news to me.
For the past couple of years I've been running a Trimble TSC & R8 antenna combo with a cell phone modem, for RTK using TCP/IP and CMR+ protocols. Although we've registered our equipment with the new site - a simple changing of the IP address and port in the dial up configuration has not worked. It connects with the server but disconnects after a few minutes while "waiting for base data"
After some hours of playing around I've managed to something that appears usable (Haven't had a chance to field test due the bad weather this week). I switched to the NTRIP protocol and specified mounting for CMR+ "Near" in my FDOT district and that at least got me initialized in fine mode for the first time in a week. I still haven't been able to select a specific base as yet. I'd love to hear if anyone using a similar setup has had success and/or problems too.
Sincerely,
Timothy Burke
